MyHein and Branding

Branding your HeinOnline account is an effective way to communicate to your users that this valuable resource is available to them through support and funding from your organization. Branding is free and allows you to display your logo on the HeinOnline Welcome Page with custom links to your online catalog, help desk or other frequently utilizes resources. Branding also offers the option of linking to your library’s catalog for law reviews that are embargoed in HeinOnline by enabling ISSN and/or OpenURL link resolvers. If we cannot provide the full text of an article, this linking will help your users determine if material is available elsewhere in your library.

Users who set up a MyHein personal research account on a properly branded HeinOnline account will have a special advantage: eTOC alert emails will contain both the direct link to the article in HeinOnline as well as links tailored with proxy information specific to the user’s institution. This will enable the user to access the material seamlessly from both on and off-campus.

For example, here is an email sent to someone who would like to reset their MyHein password, and they are part of an institutional account that has Branding set up. You will notice the proxy link available within the email.
