Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):
What time period and faculty should be included in this ranking?
Fall 2020 tenured and tenure track faculty.
What type of corrections is Hein looking for?
We are primarily looking for all known name variations. Some corrections may also include identifying an article or citation that is not currently included in the author’s profile but is in HeinOnline. An example would be a Book Review that may not be included in an author’s profile but is included within a journal in HeinOnline.
What is the deadline to return corrections?
Any requested updates should be finalized by the end of the 2020. If you need more time, we are happy to work with you.
What types of faculty is U.S. News & World Report using for the project? Can librarians submit faculty on presumptively renewable contacts?
At this time, U.S. News & World Report is only accepting tenured and tenure track faculty. Faculty that do not meet these requirements may still enhance their Author Profile Page in HeinOnline; however, U.S. News will not include their data in the analysis.
Does the list of author profiles in HeinOnline only include tenure and tenure track faculty?
No. The list in HeinOnline will include all faculty members that a school has submitted or facility has self-created. This will not be the same list that will be submitted to U.S. News for their scholarly ranking. If any faculty institution affiliation changes need to be made, or if you wish to view your tenure track faculty only, please email holsupport@wshein.com.
