In August of 2012, as the result of constructive feedback from our users, HeinOnline began including mastheads and front matter for journals in our Law Journal Library if the content was provided to HeinOnline by the publisher. Any journal front matter received by HeinOnline is now and will continue to be included in the database.
Prior to August of 2012, this front matter was only included if it was part of the original journal pagination. Most front matter was historically not included in journal pagination and was often not included in bound volumes/back runs of the journals available for scanning.
At this time, there are no plans to retrieve and include front matter from older content in HeinOnline.
