Locating a Slip Opinion
Let’s start by locating the slip opinion for Trump v. United States, a more current and controversial case that was heard by the Supreme Court on presidential immunity.
Searching by Slip Opinion Number
To begin, enter the U.S. Supreme Court Library and select the Official Reports subcollection. From there, choose the United States Reports Slip Opinions.
Next, use the “Search this title” option and enter the slip opinion number 23-939.
On the results page, you’ll find the slip opinion listed—just click the title to view it.
Searching by Case Name
Similarly, you can search within the United States Reports Slips Opinions by case name. Using the same search bar, enter “Trump v. United States” using quotations.
This will return 1 result for the Trump v. United States slip opinion.
