Stay Connected with HeinOnline
Each day, hundreds of IP addresses try to access HeinOnline but are rejected because those addresses are not authenticated to the database. Surprisingly, the HeinOnline development team started finding that some of these addresses belong to universities and law firms who already subscribe! Most subscribers have organization-wide access, so make sure IP information from all areas has been provided to us.
The start of a new year is the perfect time to do some housekeeping. Check in with your organization’s information technology team to determine if any IP addresses may have changed, or if new addresses or ranges may have been added. Then, email updated IP information to email@example.com so we can verify that we have the most current information on file.
Other Information to Review
We have also found that some of our correspondence has been sent to email addresses which no longer exist. If you’ve changed positions or if email address formats have changed throughout your organization, please let us know. New contact information can be emailed to your account rep or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Back in August, we posted this blog about HeinOnline systems. Please review the information provided in the post and make any changes to ensure that your users have uninterrupted access to the world’s largest image-based legal research database.
We also recommend following us on social media and subscribing to our blog to receive regular content and news updates. Lastly, we put together an updated HeinOnline information sheet in order to help our customers update their LibGuides. It’s available here, and describes the best places to obtain updated information about various collections. It also offers a short description of HeinOnline which is perfect for database description pages. Copy and paste this text:
