About ORCID

ORCID is an independent non-profit organization that provides a persistent identifier – an ORCID iD – that distinguishes you from other researchers and a mechanism for linking your research outputs and activities to your ID.  ORCID is integrated into many systems used by publishers, funders, institutions, and other research-related services. Learn more at orcid.org.

ORCID Integration in HeinOnline

HeinOnline has integrated ORCID into their author profiles to give authors the ability to connect their HeinOnline author profile with their ORCID profile.  After the connection has been established there is a bidirectional link between ORCID and HeinOnline.  At this time only the works which reside within the HeinOnline database will count towards the HeinOnline author profile statistics and rankings however further development may include utilizing works the author has set up within their ORCID profile.  If you have any further questions in regards to the HeinOnline implementation of ORCID please contact support at holsupport@wshein.com.
