Have you heard about HeinOnline's Author Profile Pages? To help authors of law review articles highlight their work available in the world's largest image-based legal research database, HeinOnline has created Author Profile Pages!
How to Access
There are two ways to access the profile page for a particular author. First, simply search for that author using the advanced search bar on the Law Journal Library homepage:
From the search results, click the author's name, which will link to the profile page and a list of articles written by the author.
The second way to access an author's profile is from the table of contents. While viewing an article, the table of contents is displayed on the left side of the page. Click the author's name, which will also link to the profile page and a list of articles written by the author.
Author profile pages automatically display an author's ScholarCheck statistics, which calculate the number of times an author has been cited by other articles in HeinOnline, and by articles written only in the past 10 years in HeinOnline, by cases from both HeinOnline and Fastcase, as well as the number of times their articles have been accessed by other HeinOnline users within a rolling 12-month period. Each metric will account for one-quarter of the author's overall ScholarRank.
We also have an e-mail alert option available for our author profile pages. In addition to setting up a notification for when new material by a certain author is added to HeinOnline, users can also be advised when that author's articles are cited by new articles added to HeinOnline. To set up these alerts, select an author and click Set up e-mail alerts from the author's profile page.
Select one or both boxes to receive the corresponding e-mail alert(s). If an author's existing articles are cited by new articles in HeinOnline, an e-mail notification will be sent to the address entered. The e-mail will include the information for the article that was cited and a link to the newly available article. HeinOnline makes it easy to see when authors are referencing your work or to closely follow a favorite professor's work.
